The International Journal of Building Sustainability and Secure is a peer-reviewed quarterly English-language scientific journal published jointly by the Willenberg Foundation and Czech Technical University in Prague, FCE, Department of Construction Technology, since March 2014. The editor-in-chief is Prof. Vladimir Křístek.

Aims and Scope

The journal covers various fields related to Building Sustainability and Building Secure and publishes peer-reviewed original contributions relating to the impact of all hazards on a project of the objects of critical infrastructure: natural, criminal, terrorist, and accidental, that in fact is a multi-hazard approach for modern security design. Security and safety measures, such as those for anti-terrorism with using VBIED (vehicle borne improvised explosive device), for example can result not even in the collapse of objects related to critical infrastructure all over the world but a great loss of life of the civilians and must be considered within a total project context, including impacts on occupants and the environment, regardless of the level of protection deemed appropriate. The journal will publish research activities in field of theoretical, analytic research, numerical modeling, field experiments and design of the structures for their collapse prevention. Some high quality papers related to aerospace, structural mechanics and material engineering are not ruled out.

Peer Reviw

The International Journal of Building Sustainability and Secure operates a conventional single-blind policy in which the reviwers name is always concealed from the submitting author(s). Each submitted manuscript is reviwed by a minimum of two referees of appropriate standingin the field.

Authors wishing to make contributions schould send them to willenbergfoundation@yahoo.cz. Detailed Guidelines for Authors appear on the inside back cover of the journal.
